My First Yoga is dedicated to challenging children physically and creatively to inspire character growth. Our programs provide the appropriate structure, guidance and support necessary to engage students through activities that stretch mind and body while improving focus. Infant Classes use age-appropriate techniques to stimulate and soothe. Instructors massage and help children gently stretch while singing favorite nursery rhymes. Infants build the strength and flexibility needed to reach age-appropriate physical milestones. 

Toddler Classes combine inviting movements, songs and relaxation techniques. Poses and activities that quickly become familiar favorites are repeated to encourage mastery while new poses and activities are introduced to stimulate and challenge. Toddlers build developmental skills such as: turn taking, counting and picture recognition and gross motor skills such as: jumping, balancing, and body awareness. 

Pre-School Classes engage students’ natural curiosity through the use of movement-based stories and exciting themes. Threaded through tales of pirates, space exploration and nature are teachable moments during which children are able to voice their own thoughts and questions. Our stories introduce children to traditional yoga poses while reinforcing themes such as respect, peace and kindness. 

School Age Classes combine traditional yoga poses with yoga-inspired activities that encourage students to practice both independence and team building. Classes focus healthy body image development as kids examine physical fitness, wholesome eating habits and self-respect. A variety of activities and approaches ensure that all kids will feel welcomed, challenged and engaged.
